Something to think about…

Looking for something to spark your creativity; something to give you a little inspiration? Try reading Paul Arden’s newest book “Whatever You Think, Think The Opposite.” I was fortunate enough to have won this one from In Bubble Wrap (best site on the web), and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The book is short. I am …read more

Google Notebook

Yet another cool tool from Google, as the company released Google Notebook today. Google Notebook allows you to clip and make notes from pages you view, and store them in an online notebook. This notebook can be accessed anywhere just by logging into your Google account. It seems to be easy to use, as you …read more

Keep an Eye on Bausch & Lomb

The best known brand in the contact lens industry has a problem. Bausch & Lomb’s Renu with MoistureLoc has been linked to a serious eye condition knows as Fusarium Keratitis. The company recalled the product from the market yesterday and issued a statement acknowledging that “some aspect of the MoistureLoc formula may be increasing the …read more

Vitamin: recommended daily intake

Have you been taking your vitamins? No I am not talking about Fred Flintstone, Centrum, or Theragram-M, I am talking about a great resource on the web known as Vitamin. The site is a collaborative effort from many well respected professionals. You can find information about new software, articles on a wide range of topics, …read more

Greatest magician (if there is such a thing)

Magic was in the air this week, as David Blaine locked himself in a fishbowl and almost went belly up at the end of his trick. With so much attention on magic this week we have a first for voice, with two, yes two magician polls in one week. Today, for fun, I pose the …read more

Raconteurs: Resurrecting Green Screen

Whether you are a fan of Jack White (The White Stripes) or not, and whether you are anxious to hear his latest project The Raconteurs or not, you need to take a peek at the band’s home page. The site is made to look like an old “Green Screen” computer, reminiscent of the Commodore 64. …read more

Noise, Noise, Noise, Who should you listen to?

Creating Passionate Users is one of my favorite sites on the web. They regularly use simple pictures and graphics combined with funny captions to make relevant points about business. They typically follow up the fun with a very insightful explanation of the concept. This picture is part of a post about listening in relation to …read more

Congrats Mayor Booker!

Congratulations to Cory Booker, the new mayor of Newark, New Jersey.  I first learned of Cory Booker from the PBS documentary “Street Fight” which chronicled his last attempt to become mayor.  Though he narrowly lost to then incumbent mayor Sharpe James, his determination, passion, and dedication were inspirational.  I am excited to see what is …read more
