Slideshows in GMail

Oh how I love the GMail - Google’s free email service. Recently I was given yet another reason to love the G, when Google added the ability to view PowerPoint Slideshows within Gmail. No longer do you need to download them and open PowerPoint to simply view a presentation. Now, you can take a peek at the slides by just clicking on a “view as slideshow” hyperlink that pulls up the presentation within your web browser (at least within Firefox - not sure about IE) It is a great addition to a great tool. Web Based, Built In Chat, Search, Labels, Filters, Mail Fetcher, Docs & Spreadsheets, Rediculous Storage, Amazing Interface, RSS, IT IS FREE, and now Slideshows. GMail…Why use anything else?

The City of Dayton is soliciting feedback from the public for its new branding initiative.  They have set up an online survey that you can complete to offer your opinion on how Dayton should be marketed to the world at large. I encourage you to voice your opinion and let the City of Dayton know what you feel is critical to the future success of our community.   The link to the site is below.

Uniting Dayton, One Lens at a Time

My friend and co-worker Mike Kompar has just launched a new Squidoo Lens entitled Dayton IT Community. Much in the same way that my lens, Dayton Marketing Community, seeks to make life easier for Marketeers, Mike’s site is an attempt to consolidate and provide valuable information to Information Technology professionals in the region.  Give it a look see. Nice work Mike!
