Build your own site with Google Pages

Google changes every­thing again.  Googlepages, released last week, makes build­ing a web page as easy as typ­ing.  This ser­vice is com­pletely free, and avail­able to any­one with a google account.  This makes it pos­si­ble for any­one to have a pres­ence on the web, and do it in a way that is easy, fun, and access­able.  Granted googlepages is not made for heavy duty web design­ers, or for e-commerce, but it is a great way to build a site and get it on the web.  It is a very user friendly tool.  I built my page in about 15 min­utes.  I have used sim­i­lar sites like Geocites on Yahoo, and find this to be far supe­rior.  Google offers sev­eral tem­plates, rich text edit­ing, and redicu­lous amounts of stor­age.
