More than 3,000,000 Amer­i­cans have Epilepsy, and 200,000 new cases are diag­nosed annu­ally.  As newly elected offi­cials pre­pare to take office, send a mes­sage to them to sup­port poli­cies that end dis­crim­i­na­tion, improve access to care, and increase sci­en­tific and med­ical research into the causes and treat­ment of epilepsy.
