Well the Dayton Daily News is front runner for my favorite headline of the week with the story “Drunken Caveman Craves Cassano’s.” In a previous post here on davidebowman.com, I mentioned the amazing varieties of pizza available here in Dayton. Apparently, Cassano’s, which is a thin-crust, “Dayton style” pizza is a favorite amongst the drunken cavemen in town. This story in the DDN tells the story of a local man who was arrested for being intoxicated and demanding pizza in a caveman style voice. They should try using that in their next ad campaign. I can just picture that caveman from the insurance commercials all liquored up, demanding pizza in the wee hours of the morning – only to be carried out by the police while belligerently screaming “don’t you know who I am?” “I’m the caveman.” “I had a show on TV for 2 weeks.” “Me hungry…” They could get Cookie monster in on the follow up spot.
