Getting On Board with URS

URSI am proud and excited to announce that I have accepted an invitation to join the Board of Directors for United Rehabilitation Services of Greater Dayton.  Led by Executive Director Dennis Grant, URS is one of the finest not for profit organizations in the Dayton region, touching the lives of thousands of people every year.  For those of you who are not familiar with URS, the organization provides comprehensive programs and services to help infants, children, and adults with disabilities or special needs.  The mission of the organization is to enhance the quality of life for children and adults with disabilities or other special needs.  URS provides its clients therapy, nursing services, hearing and speech services, augmentative communication skills, vocational rehabilitation/transitional employment, social and recreational interaction and more, all in hope of fostering independence for each client.

URS is truly a special part of our community.  I am honored that Dennis asked me to join the board, and I look forward to contributing my ideas and my energy towards helping URS continue to thrive.  I am excited to work with the URS marketing team, and I hope that we can make more people aware of the help that the organization offers to the people of the Miami Valley.  I will be looking to put together a volunteer marketing committee in the months ahead, to help with thinking up ideas, spreading the word, and sharing the amazing story of the organization and the many lives it touches.   If you are interested in lending a hand in 2013, let me know.  If you looking for a charitable organization to make a year end donation to, I encourage you to consider URS.  You can visit their website and learn more about this incredible not for profit that does so much to help so many.  I want to extend my thanks to Dennis and the entire Board of URS for welcoming we to the family.  We are going to do great things in the years ahead.
