How to Get Santa Claus to Call Your Kids

Call Me, Santa Claus Every now and then I see something on the web that is so cool, that I feel the need to share it with pretty much anybody and everybody I know. Here is the latest installment in that category. Cincinnati Bell has set up a website where you can go to arrange for Santa Claus to call your kids. The site is easy to use, takes about 2 minutes to complete, and delivers much excitement when the phone rings. A friend of mine sent me this link (http://www.cincinnatibell.com/consumer/holiday/) and explained how excited his kids were when Santa spoke to them over the phone. So I decided to check it out first hand.   It was a huge hit.   My daughter happened to be asleep at the time of Santa’s call, so it went into voice mail.  This morning we told her that someone had called for her and left a message and then played it for her. Her face lit up when she heard Santa wishing her a Merry Christmas, and because it was in voice mail she could play it over and over and over. She was thrilled. I am not sure whose idea this was, but it is brilliant. It is completely free, fun, and offers great exposure for Cincinnati Bell. It is great marketing — it asks for nothing, is noteworthy, and is easy and fun to share. I applaud whoever came up with this idea, as it is both unbelievably simple, extremely creative, and thoroughly remarkable. Unfortunately, it is only available in certain area codes. If you happen to live in Southwestern, Ohio and have kids, make sure to check this out for yourself. Thank you Cincinnati Bell for spreading the holiday cheer. Ho! Ho! Ho!
