Great news for music fans out there who are sometimes lyrically challenged — a recent post by my brother in law Geoff about a “Cobra” illustrates the importance of this idea for you more completely. Pandora has begun to add lyrics within the information for each of the songs it plays.
I can’t tell you how much time this would have saved me when I was in high school and happened to be the lead singer in a rock band that played a mix of covers and originals. I used to have to use a tape recorder, a pen, and a notepad to figure out and memorize the lyrics to songs like The End of the World As We Know It by R.E.M. (I did learn them, and still know them by the way.) This process was arduous to say the least. I suppose the hours spent hitting play and then rewind over and over again built character or something. Boy this would have been nice. Anyway, if you are wondering what Eddie Vedder, Kurt Cobain, John Lennon, Bob Marley, Kanye, Bob Dylan, Michael Stipe, and others are actually singing, just check out Pandora’s new lyrics feature. 
I’ll have to look up “Yellow Ledbetter” by Pearl Jam… this is a cool new feature.
