Speed 2

Speed2

Last October I attended a student presentation at the University of Dayton entitled Speed Marketing.  The event featured several groups of students delivering 5 minute presentations on the latest and greatest trends in the world of marketing.  The event was wonderful.  The students did a great job of presenting the information in a highly impactful …read more

Geoff Has A Blog!

geoff

My brother-in-law Geoff is one of the smartest and funniest people I know.  The guy is a freaking nuclear engineer, a cycling enthusiast, a master of trivia, and one of the best story tellers I have ever met. Good news.  Geoff just launched a blog titled It’s The Best I Could Do ‚  where he will …read more

Alright so I am not a big “New Year’s Resolution” guy, but I thought I might take a moment to write about my thoughts for 2009. In 2009 I plan to do more: Goofing Around With My Family — This is really important to me.  I have the most awesome family in the world.  It is easy …read more

Take Me To Your Leader… Tribes by Seth Godin

Tribes

Seth Godin has done it again — written an amazing, fresh, relevant, and useful book I love.  This time it is Tribes — a book about the importance of leadership.  The book is probably the least “marketing” oriented book Seth has written, focusing instead on addressing the much broader topic of leading other human beings. …read more

Mr. Speaker, Welcome to the Blogosphere!

Ohio’s Speaker of the House,  Jon Husted, has launched a blog (using WordPress of course.)  I think this is great, and I hope that other public officials take note.  I have met Representative Husted a few times, and he seems to be a great person.  Jon is a young man, but carries himself with a …read more

For the second year in a row the City of Dayton, along with the Downtown Dayton Partnership, has brought in 20 of the magnificent bronze sculptures sculptures of J. I am named after both of my Grandfathers — My father’s father David and Edwin, my mother’s father. I am very proud of my heritage. 4 Way Test for Better Blogging

Yesterday, I was given the distinct privilege of speaking to the Dayton Rotary on the topic of blogging. I was joined by emcee Alan Pippenger, who put the program together, and bloggers David Esrati, and Bill Pote. As a member of the organization, I was particularly thrilled to be able to address my fellow Rotarians …read more
