Drunken caveman craves Cassano’s

Well the Dayton Daily News is front runner for my favorite headline of the week with the story “Drunken Caveman Craves Cassano’s.” In a previous post here on davidebowman.com, I mentioned the amazing varieties of pizza available here in Dayton. Apparently, Cassano’s, which is a thin-crust, “Dayton style” pizza is a favorite amongst the drunken cavemen in town. This story in the DDN tells the story of a local man who was arrested for being intoxicated and demanding pizza in a caveman style voice. They should try using that in their next ad campaign. I can just picture that caveman from the insurance commercials all liquored up, demanding pizza in the wee hours of the morning – only to be carried out by the police while belligerently screaming “don’t you know who I am?” “I’m the caveman.” “I had a show on TV for 2 weeks.” “Me hungry…” They could get Cookie monster in on the follow up spot. Oh, if only… Check out the story for yourself.

Signs, Signs, Everywhere Signs

Free Image Hosting at allyoucanupload.comWhat a treat to my friend Elizabeth Riley and her husband Mike, owners of Insignia Signs, featured in the business section of the Dayton Daily News. I actually saw Elizabeth this morning at an event where I was speaking about blogging, business, and brand you. She had invited me to address her BNI group on the topic – which I enjoyed tremendously. (Thanks to everyone who attended. You were a great audience.) I am delighted to see her in the paper, and to see her company thriving. Insignia does great work. I can attest to that first hand, having employed them to develop signs for several Clients. Elizabeth is a networking dynamo, who is always looking to make connections and help out the people she knows. It is no surprise to see Insignia enjoying such rapid growth and success. It is well deserved. And you thought the DDN only reported negative stories…
