Throughout the month of November, I’ve been seeing a lot of “Thank You” messages posted on Twitter, Facebook. and all across the web, extending the sentiment of Thanksgiving well beyond the duration of the holiday itself. This display of thankfulness is great to witness, as people reflect on the blessings bestowed upon them by others. Recognition and appreciation of the contribution of others is an important part of building the bonds that create and sustain a civilized society.
With less than a few hours left in the month, it’s not too late for me to get in a message of thanks to a group of people whom I think gets far too little appreciation – the teachers of Springboro, Ohio.
As a parent with kids in the classroom, I see first hand the hard work and dedication these talented people possess. I’ve been amazed at the sophistication of the teaching methods used to educate both in tools and techniques. Even more impressive to me is the personal care and compassion that my children have been given by every teacher they’ve had. These are people who have gone far beyond the bounds of the classroom to show my family and my children support, and I know my family is not alone.
The teachers here are educators who really care. They care about my children. They care about my neighbors’ children. They care about the community. They care about the future. They are beyond excellent – with certification to prove it too.
Thank You to the teachers of Springboro. I recognize and appreciate all of the hard work you do each and every day. My children are lucky to have you. You truly embody the phrase “Panther Pride.”
