Voices: Bob Gilbreath

This episode of Voices features a conversation with Bob Gilbreath, Chief Marketing Strategist at Cincinnati’s Bridge Worldwide, one of the world’s largest global digital ad agencies.  He is also the author of the book The Next Evolution of Marketing, Connect with Your Customers by Marketing with Meaning.  The book examines ways to make marketing more relevant in a digital world.  The philosophy put forth in the book is heavily influenced by psychologist Abraham Maslow, and his pyramid of human needs.  Bob combines Maslow’s ideas with the concept of cause marketing and many of the principles put forth by Seth Godin in his book Permission Marketing to produce a very useful framework for customer engagement.

I encourage you to listen along as Bob discusses the meaning of “Marketing with Meaning” and what it means to you.   My thanks go out to Bob for taking the time to speak with me and for sharing so much information in the podcast.  For more information on Bob’s book, visit marketingwithmeaning.com

Great book and great interview! Reading this book really made me step back and think about what I’m doing at work (as a video/marketing professional) and how I could change the experience for the end users.
